Emerald City Comicon 2012!

I'm heading out first thing tomorrow for the 2012 Emerald City Comicon in Seattle, WA! As you can see above, I'll be sitting at table F-17 with Mitch Gerads (Image Comics' The Activity, IDW's Doctor Who, Future Old Cat-Ladies United). Use this handy map to locate our table and use those snappy photos to tell us apart. Now for the important info:

-  I'll be at the show all day Friday (March 30) and Saturday (March 31), but only for the first hour or so on Sunday (April 1). Basically if you're planning on finding me (or you've got a pre-show pick-up sketch) your best bet is to do so on Friday or Saturday.
- At some point I'll be signing copies of Jim Henson's The Storyteller at the Archaia booth, but I don't know what time yet. I'll do my best to keep everyone updated when I know.
- I'll have a number of my recent originals, most of which will be for sale.
- I'll be doing sketch commissions at my table, first come first serve, black and white inked on 9x12 bristol--
- I'll have copies of last year's prints with me at $5 each. Due to my current schedule I made no new prints so to make up for it I'm offering last year's at a discount.

I'm really looking forward to seeing everybody there!

Electric Boogaloo

Here's the last pre-ECCC sketch I'm going to post before I head to Seattle on Thursday, one of our friendly neighborhood electricity guy and his nemesis Bug-man.

Grimm Reaper

Another ECCC sketch featuring Aunt Petunia's favorite nephew, the Thing! Note to you folks requesting sketches, I'm always up for drawing more of Ben Grimm.

The list for pre-show sketches closes today, let's say at 7PM EST to keep it simple.

Just a Lot of Smoke and Noise!

Here's a pre-ECCC sketch of my favorite Spider-Man character, the Rhino. There's still one more day to contact me and snag one of these for yourself.

Three's Company

Here's another ECCC sketch with some quick colors on it featuring three of my favorites: Jay, Wally, and Bart.

I'll be keeping the list for pre-ECCC sketches open until Monday if you're interested.

Faces of Harvey

Here's a pre-order sketch for Emerald City Comicon, Two-Face's duplicitous mug. He's my favorite Batman villain, probably my favorite bad guy in general, so it's always fun to revisit him.

There's still time to pre-order a commission for the convention, you can follow the link to find out more. Ideally I'd like to close the list sometime next week to give me time to work on them before I leave.

You call him Doctor Jones, doll!

Another movie sketch to clear the cobwebs a little. This is more along the lines of what I had in mind with the previous Chinatown sketch, something like Williamson's work on X-9.

I was, as I imagine many of you also were, a huge fan of the Indiana Jones movies when I was a kid. By happenstance I saw Temple of Doom more often than the other two, and by a long shot. To this day I'm sure I've seen Temple way more times than Raiders or Last Crusade. I know that part of the reason I liked it was that it scared the hell out of me, and I still consider it a favorite of mine. So it's always strange to me when I hear that people don't like it, not that I necessarily blame them. Of course, we had the NES game too, where if you took too long running around Mola Ram appeared out of nowhere and stole your heart. Or at least that's how I remember it.
