From yesterday's solicits for DC Comics' October titles, I'll be drawing the Green Lantern one-shot for Justice League: Gods and Men! Looking forward to working with Tom King and drawing all those GLs. Here's a John Stewart sketch because it's been a while since I've drawn the guy.

HeroesCon is this weekend! This will be my first time at the show and I am very excited about going.
I'll be at table 820 in Artist's Alley, on the corner, in between Mirfh Gedars (Activity Time, Gunsy McSkullguy) and Erlich Burns'em (All 'dem Ghosts, Beware The Turtles).
I'll have a sketch list each day of the show, taking a handful at the start of each day, first come first serve. Simple busts/head & shoulder sketches, b&w, 9x12, for $50. Make sure to come find me early!
I'll also have with me issues of Flash Gordon and Convergence: Shazam!, as well as select original art from Shazam!, Flash Gordon, and Adventures of Superman. As outside the show, Shazam! pages will not be for sale, but I thought maybe folks would get a kick out of seeing them.
I will also be on the "ICONIC HEROES" panel, Friday evening. Please come watch me mumble in front of three artists I greatly respect and admire.
TOM HEINTJES (Hogan’s Alley) discusses the challenges and triumphs a creator experiences while working on iconic established characters. Join TIM SALE (Captain America, Batman), DAVID ANTOINE WILLIAMS (X-MEN), EVAN SHANER (Flash Gordon) and WILFREDO TORRES (The Shadow: Year One).
Excited to see everybody in North Carolina this weekend!

Here's my variant cover for Black Canary #4, part of September’s celebration of the 75th anniversary of Green Lantern. This was a really fun gig as I’m a big Black Canary fan, and I’m looking forward to the new book from Fletcher and Wu. Also the first time I did all the lines in pencil, which was fun to play around with.

Unfortunately, I will not be taking pre-convention commissions this time around. That isn't to say that I won't do them for shows in the future, but at the moment there just isn't enough time to do them justice before hand. I'm just getting back to work today after a few weeks off, and after some consideration I've decided I'd rather just focus on getting work done so I can have a good time while I'm in North Carolina.
I will, however, be doing sketches at the table. I haven't decided on prices yet but I will likely be doing a handful of simple sketches each day of the show, first come first serve. I should have more info on those before everything starts.
Since I couldn't make it last year, this will be my first time at Heroes and I am very excited about it. Hope to see you there!
